It turns automatically OFF your screen when you put it into your pocket or onto a table facing downward and turn the screen back ON when you take it out or up. No need to touch any button and you are ready to go.

HOW IT WORKS:
The app monitors the orientation of the device through the gravity sensor. When your phone is pointing downward by its top or by its face, in a certain angle, it's likely to be out of use. In this situation the proximity sensor is activated to determine if it is covered. If yes, the screen turns off because probably you placed the phone into your pocket or into your bag.
To keep the battery usage low the program turns on the proximity sensor only when it's really necessary. Moreover, when it turns off your screen to putting your phone into deep sleep state to save as much energy as possible.

FEATURES:
1. Pocket Sensor: Helps recognizing if your phone is in your pocket. By turning your phone below the angle you set, it'll prepare to turn the screen off. Your lock screen is deactivated in this mode, but this feature protects you from any unintended button pushes. Because until your device pointing downward below the certain angle you set, it will switch off immediately.
2.Bag Sensor: Helps recognizing your phone is lying and facing downward - for example in your bag or on a table. By turning your phone below the threshold you set, it'll prepare to turn the screen off. Moreover, protects from unintended button pushes, just like described above.
3. Auto Screen-On: Turns the screen On when you take your phone out from your pocket or lift up from a bag or a table and turns it Off when you put it back. This feature uses the proximity sensor beside the gravity sensor and turn off the screen lock of your phone.
NOTE: If the screen was turned off by the power button or the timer, this feature can NOT turn automatically back ON the screen. It works only if it was switched OFF by the proximity sensor itself.
4. Disable Screen Lock: Removes you screen lock. Which's not quite necessary anymore, because the program recognizes unintended button pushes most of the time and turns the screen off immediately. If Auto Screen-On enabled, you can't activate your screen lock.
5. Notification: Places a notification icon to the top of your screen. By clicking this you can easily pause or resume the program. And helps running the program more persistent.
6. Proximity support: Takes the proximity sensor into account. By turning this off the program will rely only on the gravity sensor.
7.Start at Boot:Starts the program automatically after restarting your phone.

BATTERY USAGE:
It should be not significant. I experienced about 5 per cent extra consumption on the test device. However it can vary over different devices.

MIN. REQUIREMENT:
To get this app work, your phone should have gravity and proximity sensor. But, do not worry, most of the phones have these. So probably it will work for you, but before buying it, please, try the free version to make it sure.

UNINSTALL:
From the app: press Menu button of your phone -> choose Uninstall
or
Android Settings -> (Location and) Security -> Device Administrators, uncheck the app from the list and after use the built-in uninstall feature, which you are using normally.

To turn programmatically the screen off in android has the side effect that the usual way of uninstalling does not work.

KNOWN PROBLEMS:
- On Gingerbread with active Auto Screen-On sometimes the screen stays on and become unresponsive. It's an android bug. Any physical button push or proximity event solves the problem.

SIDE NOTE:
This is the first version of the app and was not widely tested. Hopefully it will work fine for you. But, if you experience any issue or just have a question, please email me.
