During the fingering training the app analyses the fingerings and creates corresponding statitics. These statistics are used by the app to focus the learing on wrong or weak memorized fingerings. The gathered statistic data like the "hit ratio" or the "average response delay" for each note is provided in statistic views for further investigations. And of cause can be used to measure the progress in learning with this app. The training:
In the first phase, the application randomly displays notes in the range defined by the user. Those notes have to be pressed correctly on the touch-screen in the configured time interval. In case of an error, the application advises the user with the correct fingering that has to be confirmed, to continue the training.
After all notes in the range have been trained twice the application switches its internal behavior.
Notes that were previously pressed incorrectly are now trained more often. In an efficient way, those weakly memorized fingerings are now consolidated. This app does not substitute the training on the real trumpet. It should be considered as an alternative way of training. Knowing the correct fingerings by heart is essential to any good trumpet player. Currently I don´t know any other technique that provides instant feedback and allows you to memorize fingerings by heart more quickly than this app. Features:
